Your text and your files

When you paste text into a converter, type in the tutor or drop in a Word or text file, all the work happens in JavaScript on your own device. The file is read by your browser, converted in memory and handed back to you as a download. It is never uploaded to MyKrutiDev or anyone else, and nothing on the site could receive it: the only thing our server accepts is the short feedback form, and only when you press Send. You can load a page, disconnect from the internet and keep converting.

The one exception: English to Hindi typing

On English to Hindi typing, the Hinglish mode sends each word you type to Google's public input-tools service to get its best Hindi spelling. Only the words being transliterated are sent, not the rest of the page, and web and email addresses are never sent. If you do not want that, switch Typing to Exact (ITRANS), which works entirely offline. Google's handling of those requests is covered by Google's own privacy policy.

What is stored on your device

• Your theme and colour choice, and your language choice.
• In the converters: the text in the input box, so it is still there after a refresh, and the last 10 texts you converted with each tool, under Recent (each up to 50,000 characters). Clearing the box removes its draft, and Delete all empties Recent.
• In the typing tutor: which lessons you have cleared, your best speed, your daily practice streak, badges, and your last 30 practice sessions.
• A few interface preferences, such as whether key sounds are on.
• The date you last sent feedback, so the feedback form does not ask again for 30 days.

These are kept in your browser's local storage, are never sent to us, and can be removed at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. On a shared or office computer, use Delete all under Recent when you finish. The only cookies are Google Analytics' own, described below.

Your browser also keeps a copy of the site's own pages, scripts and fonts, so the converters open without an internet connection. That copy holds only the site's files, never your text.

Visit statistics (Google Analytics)

To learn which pages and tools people use, and what to improve, mykrutidev.com uses Google Analytics. For each visit it records the pages you open, how far you scroll, clicks on links to other sites and on downloads, the site or search that brought you here, your device type, browser, screen size and language, and your approximate location (city or country), which Google works out from your IP address. Google Analytics does not store the IP address itself.

It sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_VZZRXNT8TQ, so that a returning visitor is not counted as a new one. They last up to two years. It never receives the text you convert, your files or anything you type in the tools, because those never leave your device. We have switched off Google signals and ad personalisation, so this data is not used for advertising, and the reports do not tell us who you are.

To opt out, block cookies for this site in your browser settings, use a tracker blocker, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works the same either way. Google's handling of this data is covered by Google's privacy policy.

Feedback

The Feedback button at the bottom of each page opens a short form, and only when you click it. If you press Send, we store:

• your rating (😞 😐 🙂 😍) and the options you ticked
• what you wrote in the form's own text boxes, and an email address only if you chose to give one
• the page you were on, the site language, the colour theme, whether you were on a phone or a computer, your screen width in pixels, your browser's name (for example "Chrome") and the date

We do not store your IP address, your browser's full identification string, or anything you typed, pasted or converted in the tools. Feedback is used only to decide what to fix and build next, and is kept in a Cloudflare D1 database that only the site's owner can read. An email address is used only to reply to you. It is never shared or used for marketing. To have your feedback deleted, write to [email protected] from the address you gave.

Spam protection

To keep robots out, the feedback form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, an invisible check that runs only after you open the form (Cloudflare's own privacy policy covers it). To limit each visitor to 5 messages an hour, the server keeps a one-way code made from your IP address and the current hour. The IP address itself is never saved, and the code is deleted once the hour is over.

Server logs

The site is a set of static files served by a hosting provider. Like any web server, it may keep standard access logs - IP address, the page requested, browser type and time - for security and to keep the service running. These logs never contain the text or files you convert, because those never reach the server.

Children

The site asks no one for personal information, children included. The only place you can give any is the optional email box in the feedback form.
